I speak in living hand-drawn lettering, detailed black & white illustrations and meticulous design. I was born in Manila’s Chinatown and migrated to the States when I was twenty years of age. Some people call me a FOB, I kind of like it. I am a lover of all beautiful things, typography, watercolors, technical diagrams, ninjas, pen & ink. I worked at Jollibee, a shoe store, art store, bookstore, a local horror book publisher, and taught art classes for wild children.

I study typography and design at CCA in San Francisco and am currently interning for CHRONICLE BOOKS They are magical places and are perfect for daydreaming.

I now live in a studio in San Leandro, CA with fellow artist, PATRICK RAFANAN with whom I’ve raised four beautiful fire-bellied toads.
